Hawaii is world-renowned for its beautiful beaches. The islands have every type of beach imaginable: white, black, green and red sand beaches; romantic bays and beach parks for the family; popular shorelines for people watching and off-the-beaten-path sands untouched by development.

Hawaii is home to war monuments, forests and historical sites, so history buffs will be hard-pressed to be bored in Hawaii. Most monuments and sites are free of charge and open year-round.

Hawaii Island spans 4,028 square miles (and still growing) and features Kilauea (one of the world’s most active volcanoes), Maunakea (the world’s tallest sea mountain), Maunaloa (the world’s most massive mountain) and is home to all but two of the world’s climactic zones. Needless to say, natural wonders abound on Hawaii Island.
